Hi. I’m Autumn.

I’m an avid reader, a reluctant writer, and an enthusiastic editor. I’ve helped writers bring texts to life for over twenty years. From wordsmithing sentences to overhauling structures, my goal is to help your writing shine, maintain your voice, and share tips and tools to make the entire process smoother.

I have advanced degrees (master’s and PhD) in Higher Education and a bachelor’s degree in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing. In addition to editing, I enjoy gardening, visiting museums, and, of course, reading. If it’s not work-related, I typically use an abundance of exclamation marks and emojis to communicate!

Six Weeks to Success

Six Weeks to Success is a group coaching and support program for academic folks working on writing projects. 

The program includes weekly 1-hour coaching calls, resources and guides, and runs November 3 - December 15, 2025.  

This is a completely virtual offering and will cost $125.

Middlestory Editing & Coaching Services

  • Editing

    Editing can include a high-level review of content, structure, and flow of a piece. It can also include a sentence-level review focusing on grammar, spelling, and punctuation with notes on clarity and consistency throughout a project. Proofreading is the most granular review, when the document is nearly complete.

  • Formatting

    Formatting is all about the details. This stage of editing readies your project for submission. These edits provide a final spelling and grammar check, adherence to specific style guides, and correcting the layout on the page.

  • Coaching

    Coaching is a process for facilitating insight and transformation. My approach focuses on identifying the support, accountability, and structure you need for completing your project.
